Military Nursing Service BSc Course Notification 2019

Applications are invited from FEMALE CANDIDATES (only) for admission to 4 years B Sc. (Nursing) course commencing in 2019 at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. Based on the merit cum choice, (subject to vacancy in each College) the candidates will be awarded admission in Colleges of Nursing. Selected candidates shall execute an agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for 5 years. On successful completion of Nursing Training (4years), the candidates will be granted permanent/short service commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission. They shall have to refund the bond money as per the bond executed in the event of withdrawal from the course, termination of training or refusal to accept commission in the MNS, if offered. During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend as per existing terms and conditions as amended from time to time.

CDS Exam and SSB Interview Procedure

  • Candidates need to apply successfully for the CDS exam on UPSC official website. Online applications are open from 31st Oct till 26th Nov 2018.
  • Written exam will be conducted by the UPSC on 03 February 2019. The exam is in offline mode on OMR sheets.
  • The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination.
  • The result of written exam will be declared in 2-3 months by UPSC.
  • Successful candidates will get the SSB interview call letter based on their preference from IMA, OTA, AFA, and NA.
  • Candidates who clear the SSB interview will face the medical examination.
  • Successful candidates will get the joining instructions based on the order in the merit list.

* Short Service Appointment (SSA) – Short Service Appointment as Assistant Commandant is for a period of 08 years which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable up to 14 years.
* Candidates applying for General Duty Entry Scheme (Male only) will be considered for Pilot Navigator on successful completion of basic training at INA Ezhimala.

Note:

  • The upper age limit of OBC/SC & ST is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules in vogue.
  • Maximum 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate for SC/ST candidates, NCC ‘C’ (A grade) holders, Sportsperson of the National level (Inter-State & above) and wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.
  • Coast Guard reserves the right to fix the cut off percentage for the issue of PSB call-up letters.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any other service training academy are not eligible to appear.
  • Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted or prosecuted on criminal charges.

How to Apply:

  • Applications will be accepted only ‘Online’ from 18 Nov 2018 to 30 Nov 2018 up to 1700 hrs for the above said posts.

Schedule for Preliminary Selection Examination: Candidates to reach the allotted centre at least 30 minutes prior to starting of Exam. The date and time of the examination will be intimated through Coast Guard website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. The Preliminary Selection will be conducted tentatively from 17 Dec 2018 to 17 Jan 2019 onwards.

Selection Procedure of Indian Coast Guard:

Stage –I

  • Short Listing of Applications: Short-listing criteria will be based on higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and the qualifying cut off for a particular branch or centre may be increased more than 60% if more applications with higher % are received.
  • Preliminary Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Preliminary Selection at given date and time which will consist of Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT). The aptitude tests will be in English only and will be of objective type. During PP&DT the candidates are expected to speak and discuss in English. However, they are free to speak in Hindi if they wish to do so. Date/ time and venue of Preliminary Selection once allotted will not be changed at any stage.

Stage -II

  • Final Selection: The candidates who qualify Preliminary Selection will be called for Final Selection. The date and venue for Final Selection Board (FSB) will be uploaded on Indian Coast Guard website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. The Final Selection will consist of Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality test). All documents/ certificates verified during PSB are also required to be produced in originals during FSB.

Merit List of Indian Coast Guard:

The recommendation in FSB does not confirm final selection. A merit list will be prepared for the medically fit candidates on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates at FSB and depending upon the availability of vacancies. The number of vacancies may vary from branch to branch and will be decided at a later date depending on the number of training vacancies available at training establishments. The list of candidates selected on the basis of merit list will be uploaded in Coast Guard recruitment website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in during the month of May 2019. The joining letters will be issued accordingly. The training at INA, Ezhimala is scheduled to commence in end Jun 2019.

Airforce aspirants who want to join the flying, technical and non-technical branch of the Indian air force can apply for AFCAT 1 2019 now from the official IAF portal of AFCAT. Indian Air Force invites Indian citizens (Men and Women) to be part of this elite force as Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Online examination will be conducted on 16 Feb 19 and 17 Feb 19 for AFCAT exam. Candidates applying for AFCAT 1 2019 should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of examination viz. Written examination and SSB test will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any time before or after the written examination or AFSB Testing, it is found that they do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature will be cancelled by the IAF. Mere issue of Admit card/Call up letter to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally accepted by Indian Air Force.

Type of Commission:

  • Permanent Commission (PC) for Men. Candidates joining as PC officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation in their respective branches as per their rank.
  • Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men & Women.
    • The engagement period for Flying Branch (Men and Women) SSC Officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Non extendable).
    • The initial tenure for Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) SSC Officers would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit.

  • Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: 20 to 24 years as on 01 Jan 2020 i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2000 (both dates inclusive).Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 January 1994 to 01 January 2000 (both dates inclusive).

  • Flying Branch. Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
    (a) Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

  • NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch): NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate acquired on or after 01 Jan 17 is mandatory. Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2. Graduates with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Meteorology: Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Geography/Computer Applications/Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/Meteorology/Agricultural Meteorology/Ecology & Environment /Geo-physics/Environmental Biology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together (Provided Maths and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with a minimum of 55% marks in each).

How to Apply for AFCAT 1 2019: Aspirants for IAF are required to apply online by using the link  https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in, or https://afcat.cdac.in. Aadhaar Card is mandatory for online registration. All applicants whose applications are submitted by due date will be called at one of the examination centres for AFCAT scheduled on either 16 February 2019 (Saturday) or 17 February 2019 (Sunday). It is mandatory for the candidates opting for Ground Duty (Technical) branch to appear in both AFCAT as well as Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

UPSC published the CDS 1 2018 result, around 8261candidates cleared the CDS 1 2018 written exam for IMA, OTA, AFA and NA. We are getting several emails from the OTA aspirants asking for the 109th Course OTA SSB Date CDS 1 2018, in this article we are going to explain the complete procedure of CDS SSB interview date and what actions are required from successful candidates.

Official Statement:

All the candidates who have successfully qualified in the written exam are required to register themselves online on the Indian Army Recruiting website joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of the announcement of written result. The successful candidates would them be allotted Selection Centres and dates, of SSB interview which shall be communicated on the registered e-mail ID. Any candidate who has already registered earlier on the site will not be required to do so. In case of any query/Login problem, email be forwarded to dir-recruiting6-mod@nic.in.

SSB Interview of SSC (Non Tech) 109 and SSCW (Non Tech) 23. Candidates of SSC (Non Tech) 109 and SSCW(Non Tech) 23 Courses are not required to carry their UPSC admit card/application at the time of SSB interview. AFSB Interview Dates – AFCAT 2 2018

AFCAT 2 2018 was held on 18th and 19th Aug 2018 at various online exam centres and soon it will be conducted for Kerala Centres. To check your AFCAT 2 2018 written exam result, candidates can login to AFCAT CDAC website with their correct ID and Password, currently the AFCAT 2 2018 exam cut off is not visible and candidates can only see their pass and fail status.

  • The afsb seats have been allotted to met 02/2018 candidates. Candidates may login into their account to download their call letters. The met batches will start from 08 oct 2018.
  • Dear candidates, the results for AFCAT 02/18 were declared on 07 Sep 18, however the individual marks and cutoff was not shared. The same was not done as the AFCAT exam could not be conducted for Kerala students due to floods. The exams for the candidates of Kerala are planned on 22-23 Sep 18. The marks for all candidates and cutoff marks would be shared with all, once the exam at Kerala is over. This has been done to give equal opportunity to all candidates.
