CDS 2 2018 Merit List Out – 100 Candidates Cleared SSB to join IMA/AFA/NA

UPSC has published merit list of 100 (60+34+06) candidates who
have qualified on the basis of the results of the CDSE (II), 2018 conducted by the UPSC in November, 2018 and SSB interviews held by the SSB of the Ministry of Defense for admission in Course of IMA, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad Course.

2. The number of vacancies, as intimated by the Government is 100 for Indian Military
Academy [including 13 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ certificates (Army Wing) holders],
45 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala Executive (General Service)/Hydro
[including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing)] and 32 for
Air Force Academy, Hyderabad [03 vacancies are reserved for NCC ’C’ Certificate (Air
Wing) holders through NCC Spl. Entry].

3. The Commission had recommended 2494, 1653 and 582 as qualified in the written
test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force
Academy respectively. The number of candidates finally qualified are those after SSB test
conducted by Army Head Quarters.

4. The results of Medical examination have not been taken into account in preparing
these lists.


SSC 53 Tech – SSCW 24 Tech Men and Women Indian Army Notification

Indian Army official website recently published the cutoff marks for SSC Tech 53 men and SSC Tech 24 women course. Based on the cut off marks, candidates have been shortlisted for the SSB interview for the SSC tech 53 and SSC tech 24 courses which will commence in October 2019 at OTA Chennai.

Candidates who have applied for the Indian Army SSC tech entry can check the SSC Tech 53 and SSCW Tech 24 Cut Off Marks and find their name in the list of shortlisted candidates.

Indian army is going to publish the TES 41 notification soon for the candidates who have completed 12th standard with PCM. Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Hereinafter referred to as PCM) subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the subsequent paragraphs, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army after four years of Basic Military Training and Technical Training thereafter with the terms and conditions given in the succeeding paragraphs.

Military Nursing Service BSc Course Notification 2019

Applications are invited from FEMALE CANDIDATES (only) for admission to 4 years B Sc. (Nursing) course commencing in 2019 at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. Based on the merit cum choice, (subject to vacancy in each College) the candidates will be awarded admission in Colleges of Nursing. Selected candidates shall execute an agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for 5 years. On successful completion of Nursing Training (4years), the candidates will be granted permanent/short service commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission. They shall have to refund the bond money as per the bond executed in the event of withdrawal from the course, termination of training or refusal to accept commission in the MNS, if offered. During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend as per existing terms and conditions as amended from time to time.

  • Female candidates who are unmarried/divorcee/legally separated or widow without encumbrances.
  • Nationality –Indian
  • Date of Birth –Between 01 Oct 1994 to 30 Sep 2002 (both days inclusive).
  • Educational Qualification –Candidates must have passed in the first attempt, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory / Recognized Board /University/ Examination Body. Candidates who will be appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally. Physical standards – Medical fitness will be determined as per standards applicable for commission in the Armed Forces. X-Ray examination of Chest and USG (of abdomen & pelvis) will be done. Selection: Eligible applicants will be called for an objective type written test of 90 minutes duration likely to be held in Jan 2019, covering General English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Intelligence. Candidates as per merit on the basis of written test will be called for interview during April 2019. Final selection will be based on the combined merit of written test & interview, subject to medical fitness. Join Indian Army As An Officer – For Engineering Graduates

If you are a male engineering graduate studying in the final year or completed your engineering studies, you might have the golden opportunity to join the Indian army as an officer through Technical Graduate Entry (TGC). TGC Entry for Engineering Graduates

  1. TGC 129 Age Limit: – 20 to 27 years as on 01 July 2019. (Candidates born between 02 July 92 and 01 July 99, both dates inclusive).
  2. Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the requisite Engineering Degree or be in the final year of Engineering Degree course. The candidates in the final year of Degree Course should complete all their examinations related to the degree, like, written, practicals, viva-voce, projects, backlogs, etc prior to 01 July 2019 for TGC 129. They should be able to produce the Engineering Degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at IMA/OTA. Such candidates will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at IMA/OTA as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite Degree Certificate.

CDS 1 2019 -Join Indian Army Navy and Airforce

CDS 1 2019 notification is published by the UPSC on 31st Oct 2018, CDSE also called Combined Defence Services Examination is a written exam conducted by UPSC two times every year. Through this exam males can join the Indian army, navy and airforce and females can join the Indian army as an officer. Any candidate who is studying in the final year or completed his/her graduation can apply for this exam. In this article, we are going to provide some details which will help you to understand CDS exam and how it is conducted.

Military Academies You Can Join Through CDS Exam

  • Indian Military Academy (IMA) (Army) – Only for male
  • Indian Air Force Academy (AFA) – Only for male

Education Qualification

Age limits: 

  • CDS 1 2019 Exam Age Limit For IMA : Male candidates born not earlier than 2nd Jan 1996 and not later than 1st Jan 2001 only are eligible.
  • CDS 1 2019 Exam Age Limit For OTA : Male candidates (unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd Jan 1995 and not later than 1st Jan 2001 only are eligible. Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd Jan 1995 and not later than 1st Jan 2001
  • CDS 1 2019 Exam Age Limit For AFA :  20 to 24 Years as on 1st Jan , 2020 i.e. born not earlier than 02 Jan 1996 and not later than 01 Jan 2000 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 Yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 02 Jan 1994 and not later than 01 Jan 2000) only are eligible. Note: Candidate below 25 years of age must be unmarried. Marriage is not permitted during training. Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but during training period they will neither be provided married accommodation nor can they live out with family.
  • CDS 1 2019 Exam Age Limit For NA: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd Jan 1996 and not later than 1st Jan 2001 only are eligible.

CDS Exam and SSB Interview Procedure

  • Candidates need to apply successfully for the CDS exam on UPSC official website. Online applications are open from 31st Oct till 26th Nov 2018.
  • Written exam will be conducted by the UPSC on 03 February 2019. The exam is in offline mode on OMR sheets.
  • The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination.
  • The result of written exam will be declared in 2-3 months by UPSC.
  • Successful candidates will get the SSB interview call letter based on their preference from IMA, OTA, AFA, and NA.
  • Candidates who clear the SSB interview will face the medical examination.
  • Successful candidates will get the joining instructions based on the order in the merit list.
